Fallout Show
Only one episode in so far.

Fact #7
From an empirical viewpoint, the problem with Free Will (and causality) is reconciling determinism and freedom to make sense of morality.

Re: Fallout Show
I'm enjoying the first two episodes. Pretty lukewarm on the Brotherhood kid
But at least this is definitely better than The fucking Witcher

Am I supposed to dislike The Ghoul? Because I don't.

Re: Fallout Show
Nope. But Maximus?
Got 2 eps left, and not sure how they’re going to wrap this up…on a cliff hanger?
Also, nerds are enraged that the show is maybe didn’t align with New Vegas timeline.
Every video game show should screw up a few details on purpose.

Re: Fallout Show
I’m only 3 in, but Maximus is slow, right? I can’t tell with his character. He does things and speaks like he’s imbecilic, but then he’ll do something that seems like he has his head on straight. Eh, I like Fallout so far, but Lucy and Maximus skate a little too close to being Rey and Finn from Disney’s Star Wars abomination.Necrophilic Mallard wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 11:30 amNope. Re: Fallout Show
That first episode was bad enough that I thought about skipping the rest. Maximus didn't really make a lot of sense to me overall, but each episode sorta grabbed me more and more. Overall I wish the writing was as good as in the games, but it's fun.

Ella Purnell looks like you crossed Ariana Grande with Lizzy Caplan and gave the baby Steve Buscemis eyes.
Seriously as bug eyed as Kristen Bell is beady-eyed.

Boo! Leave her alone. She’s fine. I’d lock her in my basement for a few yearsBrutus Frank wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2024 5:21 am Ella Purnell looks like you crossed Ariana Grande with Lizzy Caplan and gave the baby Steve Buscemis eyes.

Re: Fallout Show
Maximus turned out to have the Idiot Savant perk which was cool. I like when the other wiener kid became his squire and showed up at the radio station. So that turned out a little better than I thought it would.
I think the biggest flaw was trying to build up that Moldaver bish and she turned out to be some benign plot device villain with faceless henchmen (was that supposed to be NCR? I still don't know).
Not a big deal at all though, I did like the Vault-Tec storyline/conspiracy with the other corporations. The sets and props and everything feel straight from the goddamn game. I think their budget was limited and could've done better with more episodes so here's to hoping things are more polished for next season....and they deliver on all the Super Mutant and Deathclaw teasing.

Yeah but that’s just due to Japanese efficiency. Favorite new movie in a real long time

Re: Fallout Show
Hmm okay both are nuke-media
One was great one seems tepid-to-good
One was a financial miracle and the other apparently less so
One country got nuked and the other was the nuker
There's a thing going on here

Re: Fallout Show
From a storytelling perspective there's a bunch of stupid shit.
From a having a good time perspective it's a success.
Ella Purnell is super cute with her bug-eyes
Walton Goggins rarely does anything wrong; having a great time with The Ghoul but I really can't buy him spying on his wife after one meeting with a bunch of economic-vegans just because the cult leader supposedly invented the equivalent of a car that runs on water.
"I'm not a communist, Mr. Howard, that's just a dirty word they use to describe people who aren't insane."
(Jerk off motions)
