With Penny Dreadful finished for the year, I'm now down to this shit and Hannibal (as far as I know) as the only things I watch. Sure, I'll finish it but unless it takes a right turn into crazy land I want this show gone after this season. Make room for Steven King's Gunslinger or some shit.

I seriously doubt it'll get better. I mean, I'll be happy if it does. but it's becoming increasingly obvious to me that the entire first season worked because the Rust/Marty duo was a stroke of genius and basically carried everything. But really, Rust was one cliché stuck into another clichéd situation, and what made it work was that someone like Rust isn't supposed to be the good guy in a cop show. This season... they're pretty much just taking the clichés and playing them straight. Alcoholic divorced father, gangster trying to go straight, bitter woman in a man's world, sleazy mayor, ethnic gangsters, pervy movie business guys, etc etc etc.

Is it doing well ratings wise? I really can't imagine this show getting a third season, but then again, Homeland should've never gone beyond one season either, and it's about to start its first, so...

For the mustache to be a burnout cop, he's a pretty attractive, in shape cop. Couldn't they get fat Val Kilmer, fat Alec Baldwin, fat John Travolta or fat Ray Liotta?

Shit's starting to falter for sure. Still better than most other television but definitely not on par with S1 and edging close to being a jarring decrease in quality. Plenty of time to right itself but it could go either way. Farrell totally rules though.

I would love to see Liotta as his Narc character, but more grizzled, burned out and fat.

VEEP is awesome, smart satire with brilliant jokes. The Brink is a show that thinks it's smart satire, with awful, awful jokes.

VEEP is hilarious. Probably my favorite show currently running on HBO. Actually pretty much anything done by Armando Iannucci is worth watching.
