I have come to the conclusion that Peter Andersson of Raison D'Etre (and 100 other bands/projects) has produced maybe only 2 or 3 good albums in his entire life.

Now...the other Peter Andersson (of Deutsch Nepal), on the other hand...that's a different story...

I like the cover of this CD, anyway. I believe Mortiis's early stuff is now out again on Projekt...which is kind of funny, but whatever.

liking stuff like this is so often a mechanical endeavor...it's such an arbitrary fucking thing, so dependent on mood...except when done really well. the two Blood Box full lengths are really nasty, resonated with me at times.

so yeah, the two Blood Box albums, and yeah I know who it is, but Blood Box is better than his other stuff. some of the only stuff worth hearing in a throwaway genre of moody stares

I didn't mean to be dismissive, sorry, it's really great dark ambient I guess, whatever you wanna call it. the two Blood Box albums have my highest recommendation, so I'm weighing in with all seriousness. don't miss out...it's a hell of a soundtrack for exploring certain shallows of the void...

It's rumored they used Dead's old microphone while recording that. I guess someone thought it would be a selling point.

I'm sold! Just kidding, I already liked it. I love how it just sounds like infinitely reverbing screaming/cackling.

The only weird feeling about posting these things, for me...is being reminded of how old they are now. I'm usually thinking, "Where did the last 10-15 years go? WTF?"

is Cold Meat Industry still around? I still have those Mortiis albums, even though I haven't listened to them in over a decade, I keep thinking I'll be in the mood for them again someday but the day never comes, I used to have about 5 Raison D'etre CDs too! fuck, (yeah those were the days of still living with parents, a full time job and lots of disposable income)

Yes, of course they're still around (shut up), but like all other labels they've been forced to drastically slow down their release schedule as they don't have any money.

Mortiis is, and always was, fucking horrible...but I'm trying to be a completist here so I had to post his "work."

The greatest comments on Mortiis I ever read were in an interview with Douglas P from Death in June who talked about being in a bar once and some blond, mildly fuckable girl (not for him) coming in with a "drunk, stupid Swede" who just made a total ass of himself...that idiot of course being Mortiis...

I don't think so...I don't really know.

Mz.412 = Nordvargr and Drakh, I believe...so there might be some connection in the old days between that and, say...Abruptum? I don't remember.

I don't care all that much about Swedish BM, so I'm not (obviously) the person to ask. Maybe Dan knows. Zeus Dan, not Alien Dan.

I remember that being a selling point for me buying the CD, I think it was even on the promo sticker on the wrapper,

even found a bit of argument about the Marduk connection in the comments here: http://www.youtube.com/comment_servlet? ... PmJq1SXqWQ

not that big of a deal really, Im just killing time remembering these old CMI bands, 8)

Yeah.

Other than that they're all Swedes I can't remember any direct connection, but I'm not exactly in a state right now to remember.

I know you're probably right, I guess we'll solve it tomorrow.
